The Path Behind Us
The Road Ahead
25 Years of Protecting Our Children
CENTERING OUR PURPOSE
Message from Our Director
We are honored to welcome you to the 25th Annual North Dakota Indian Child Welfare and Wellness Conference. For twenty‑five years, this gathering has brought together people who care deeply about the safety, culture, and well‑being of Native children. Each year adds to a shared effort that began long before the conference existed and continues because so many of us believe this work matters.
Gillian Plenty Chief, Director
This year, we meet in New Town on the homelands of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation. These river lands have carried generations of teachings about family, responsibility, and protection. Being here reminds us that the work of child welfare begins in community and grows from the knowledge our Nations have held since time immemorial.
Our theme reflects both our history and our direction. We have come a long way together, and we still have work ahead of us. This conference is a place for learning, reflection, and practical tools that support the people who serve Native families every day.
Below you will find the information you need for registration, lodging, and exhibitor opportunities.
We look forward to gathering with you and continuing this important work together.
Respectfully,
WE SHAPE THE FUTURE
