The Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation, located in the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation, is deeply tied to the Missouri River and central North Dakota’s landscapes. With over 16,000 enrolled citizens, the Nation is a foundation for the region’s historic and contemporary heritage. Visit Website
The Spirit Lake Nation, or “People of the Spirit Water,” reside on the Spirit Lake Reservation which is located in north central North Dakota near the present town of Devils Lake and consists of over 7,000 enrolled citizens. Visit Website
The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indian Reservation is located near the geographical center on North America in north central North Dakota, ten miles south of the Canadian Border, and includes over 32,000 members. Visit Website
The Standing Rock Sioux Reservation is situated in North Dakota and South Dakota. The people of Standing Rock are members of the Dakota and Lakota nations, and enrolled citizenship for the Tribal Nation is over 8,500. Visit Website
