Our Mission
The Native American Training Institute exists to support Native children and families who are involved in child welfare systems. Our work focuses on helping Tribal Nations protect their citizens by offering training, tools, and guidance that reflect Tribal values and sovereignty. We work directly with ICWA Family Preservationists, cultural mentors, and Tribal social workers who are trying to keep Native children in their homes and connected to their communities.
We do not offer one-size-fits-all solutions. Every training we provide is built around the realities that Native families face. That includes helping a preservationist prepare for a court hearing, supporting a mentor who is reconnecting a child with their language and traditions, or working with a Tribal agency to meet federal ICWA requirements without compromising cultural integrity.
Our mission is to make sure Native children grow up in homes where they are safe, loved, and surrounded by their culture. We do this by standing with the people who are doing the work every day, and by making sure they have what they need to succeed.

These trainings center foster parents, anyone caring for Native children or those you wants to learn more.
Indigenous american children face unique challenges. In many Native communities, children are sacred. Each workshop will help you understand how to support kids in ways that respect their culture and identity.
Each session offers practical tools and real-world insight to help children grow in mind, body, spirit, and emotion.
